I am about to purchase Body Armor's TC-19336 and the local 4x4 shop wants about $500 to install. I downloaded a PDF explaining how to detach old bumper but does not really specify how to install the new one. Has anyone had experience installing this bumper? and if so, is it as easy as taking off old and putting on new? any special tools? how long did it take/should it take, etc.

Thanks for any technical help any one can provide.

    thanks.

any plate bumper should take a couple hours MAX to install. a normal shops hourly should be around $80. they should not charge you more than 200 for install.

The first time you do it will take you an hour or two. I can do one now in 30 minutes but I have done it 3 times.

Relentless Armored! Too many others to list.
are you installing lights/winch etc? If so getting all that squared away could take a few hours. Just a thought.
But removing the stock bumper and installing a plate one only takes about an hour if you go in with the tools necessary.

WoW! Worst directions ever! Did you call the company directly? I had to call ARB about a few things with my bumper install. There was a page missing in their directions.

The hard part is removing your current bumper. You can use a write up from allpro to remove it.

Great info, i'll shoot an email out to the MFR and see if they have any better documentation they can provide for actually putting new bumper on.

Took a couple of hours, instructions sucked, but had other ones i found online that were a little easier to understand. I need some new fog lights and wench and then i'll be all set.
