So little back history. I got the 04 with 155k on the clock. Up graded from a 94 with a ton of miles. The owner before me had the wrong plugs in and was getting 9 mpg at best that's why he sold it.
The rear end was very sloppy and it felt like those stadium racing trucks look! I did the steering bushings and swapped a set of Bilstiens. Then I did some looking at pictures I took loaded for hunting. the rear looked like it was loaded with a ton. so I did some measuring: with canopy on

stock springs, 400 lbs of water= 3.25 drop at the tow ball
ride was very soft, almost floaty.
    ground to arch center=35.00 inch

Then I did some looking on this great website "Tacoma world", and found there was a few people that had springs brake. I didn't want a lift but I needed to be able to load the truck and carry a drz on a hitch mount, so I was limited to stock replacement or the General springs. I went with general because of cost. So HD or standard. At the last minute I went hd figuring if its to stiff I can go softer. So ordered no problems, shipped no problems, installed no problems. (but I did grease and antiseezed everything)

HD springs, 400lbs of watter= .75 drop at the tow ball
Ride is firm but NOT jarring like a f350. float is gone
    ground to arch center= 36.5

I just got 90 fire bricks at 18lbs each=1600 lb something, loaded axle forward and the tow ball hitch dropped 3.25 inch. ride was good. I knew I had weight in the back but it wasn't riding on the bump stops. the rear suspension still took the freeway bumps no problems.

Over all I am happy with them! I put the 99 4runner 9 coil springs in the front, set at the bottom blistien ring. The 600lb springs fit perfectly with the hd general springs. front height is 35.5. Parked next to a stock 14 Tacoma my bumper sits about 1/4 higher.

Nice! I got the standard ones on my truck, I didn't see the need for the HD ones. But Gen. Spring is very good. I have had mine for about 6 months now
