Tranny slipping/torque converter bad?

    3inch coil over toy tect lift 285's custom pre runner bumbers, hella euro lights, grey wire mod
    My 2001 v6 4x4 tranny is slipping on the highway./it's fine around town and fine on the flats but when you punch it the rpm climb and the mph stays till or drops. I dropped the pan (it was clean) changed fluid and filter and I didn't help . The tranny shifts fine ..... So it it the torque converter? Help help

    Have you tried to manually shift the transmission through the gear ranges ?
    This is going to help you determine what gear the transmission is slipping in .
    Are you checking the transmission fluid with the engine running and warmed up in park ?
    Sounds to me like you have a downshift issue .
    When you are on the highway and try to pass someone , does it feel like the transmission goes into neutral ? I doubt its your torque converter
    They call this run away kickdown and there are a few things that can cause it .

    At this point in time , I would recommend taking it to a transmission shop for a free test drive
