Rear Main Seal and Clutch replacement.

I have the dreaded squeak when my truck is idling in neutral . I ordered the Throw out bearing sleeve kit from URD. When I was under the truck I noticed that there was oil on the rear of the oil pan and bell housing. I have had enough experience repairing vehicles to assume it's the rear main seal until I actually pull the transmission out. This is the first time however performing this job on a Toyota. I looked up the price for a seal and noticed that it looks like the seal is in another housing that has to come off in order to remove the seal.

Anyone familiar with this? Am I correct or does the seal just come out like most other vehicles? I am of course replacing the clutch since I'm taking it all apart.

How many miles do you have on the engine with the rear main seal leak?

 

I have 96k on it.

 

Thanks for the Warning about towing in overdrive. I read not to do it in the Owner's Manual now I see why!
