Hey TW, I have been researching suspension kits for a while now. I was originally going to go with the Toytec Boss Kit but I changed my mind on that. I am still debating between Fox, King, or Icon but I am leaning towards Icon. Any opinions there would be appreciated there.

2007 DBL Cab, Short Bed, Prerunner, TRD Off-Road

My truck is my daily driver so it will need to be pavement friendly and I plan on doing mild desert type stuff but mostly rock crawling/ trails. Not sure which is better for that application.

I am leaning towards the Icon coilovers (can anyone clear up the difference between the regular and extended travel cause they both say 3.5" lift) with Total Chaos UCAs, Toytec Boss Rear leaf pack, and Icon rear shocks to match the front. Thoughts on that?

Lastly, I will be adding a rear and front bumper at some point but havent researched the effects of the extra weight with the suspension. Should I go with a higher spring rate now if I plan on putting a front bumper? Etc.

    ANY INFO WOULD HELP! :D
    THANKS TW!!!

Not a major difference between Icon, King and Fox.

Extended travel gets you about 1" extra wheel travel and requires new UCAs, you will be good with the TCs.

Im not sure on the rear leaf pack, just make sure you dont get something too stiff as it wont be very smooth of a ride, although if you add a steal rear bumper it could negate that.

Good idea to get the higher spring rate now instead of redoing it later, I am not sure what you need. Call Dan @ wheelers offroad he is super helpful.

I'm kinda in the same boat as you, fox and King I believe are progressive while icon is digressive. I'd tell you about what those meant but I only have a little experience in that. Regular travel means you don't necessarily need a Upper Control Arm while extended you do. Now the vendor off sdhqoffroad said that your rear suspension works 'harder' than the front suspension, so he recommended to me to get 2.5" icons. Also look at the vendors here and see if you can get a tw discount. Most will help you out and usually you'll get a good deal. Oh and another thing unless your doing some dune racing or anything that pushes your suspension to the max you probably won't need the reservoirs (unless it's the rear of course) add a leaf kits are great if your on a budget and they usually won't affect your load capacity, while leaf kits keep their lift but some will decrease your load capacity in the rear. Oh and about the front bumper Id go with a heavier spring. Might as well be safe!

If any other "suspension gods" want to jump in go ahead
