Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows if winter driving in the triad ( greensboro, Winston-Salem, kernersville) will cause any rust. We usually only get a few bad snows. Anybody live here have any rust?

They definitely salt here in Raleigh, I'm sure they do in the triad. They use this stuff called "brine" which is basically a water and salt solution that they spray on the roads when its supposed to snow. I'd make sure you spray off your undercarriage after you drive in the snow.

I'm in greensboro. A good bath and undercarriage spray after each event will do the trick. I've never heard of frame rust around here.

Born and raised in Kvegas... Never had an issue. Just pressure wash the salt off whenever they do the roads.

Should be fine, I fluid filmed mine since day one when I was living in Chicago and it looks great. I have not seen any salt(or snow) around Mooresville yet

I've only had 2 spots of rust so far that I have cleaned off and painted. One was from the ac drain line ( I extended it with a 3/4 " heater hose a few years ago so it won't do it again). The other was a weld spot behind the front pass tire (also cleaned and painted) have not drove it in the snow yet. Will this year.

I've had several tacos while living here, never any rust issues(other than the bed bolts!)

Where do you fellow K-villers go to tear up your rigs?
I'm right off of Union Cross...

The industrial park by the radar base used to have some small trails behind it back when I went to highschool, circa '04. I've lived in Charlotte for the last 10yrs though and only go home to visit family every so often so I don't know what condition they're in now. I also saw some at the end of Kenosha recently but think they had signs posted, next to Kingswood, a few miles down from Glenn High.

It'd be nice if they'd hurry up and finish Union cross rd, I know that much!
