I get an average of around 14 mpg, with a 3 inch lift, slightly aggressive driving in a 2008 4x4 V6 auto long bed. I feel like it sucks, but it's a truck... just sad that my dad's full size diesel gets almost 20 mpg. I know it's a diesel, but still, man you'd think these tacos could be more efficient

    My sentiments exactly.

I aired up the tires, Checked all the fluids and filters, reset the ECU. All seem to be good.

I took the taco out this weekend on several journeys and fueled up after each journey or in the middle of a journey. I learned my lesson the hard way last summer and ran out of gas on a long desolate section of Hwy 1 and Hwy 447 in NE Cali and NW Nevada, so I always fill up when I don't know what's ahead.

Journey 1. Around Town and a 50 mile HWY drive. 15.8 MPG.
    Journey 2. 90 mile freeway drive 2500 RPM 75 MPH. 16.2 MPG
Journey 3. From the last fill up I explored the Bethel Ridge area in WA from 10am to 6pm, rarely over 2nd gear, slow 4WD most of the time, engine running for 8 hours with a few breaks, 60+ miles when finished, only used about 1/4 of a tank. Drove home and haven't filled up yet. So we'll see.

But driving it distances per se rather than cold start to work and back is improving substantially the MPG as with all the other things.

    Thanks.
