steering wheel upgrade to oem audio controls.

Hey There, I own a 2012 Tacoma SR5 with the base sterio/cd player and steering wheel. I am interested in upgrading my steering wheel with oem audio controls. Does anyone know if the steering wheel comes pre-wired so I would be able to add on plug and play fashion. Thx.

 

When I replaced the stock stereo in my 2010 SR5 which had steering wheel controls I am able to get an adapter from Crutchfield to retain the controls.

This thread was for an 08 but I'd imagine the steps are similar. You might be looking at taking off your steering wheel to replace the ribbon etc
