I recently switched from AT&T U-verse to Comcast Internet. For some reason I can't get web pages to load 90% on the time without resetting my modem. It is starting to get very frustrating but what I don't get is Netflix and playing my Playstaion 4 online work flawlessly.

At first I thought it was just my computer but it does it on my wife's computer, iPad and phone when connected to wifi. Does anybody know what would cause this or how I can fix it.

Try pingtest.net and speedtest.net and post your results. This will let you see if there is packet loss.

Change the security settings on the Comcast/Xfinity modem/wifi router to "low".

I am using my own Netgear N600 modem/router. It is brand new and bought it last month. Not sure if that helps

here is my speediest.net result, but this is when its working. When its not, I can't get the web page to load to even try it

try hardwired to both your routers, make sure you disable wifi.

I've tried calling comcast and they just go through the "troubling shooting steps" with is extremely painful to endure as they don't speak english very well and it pretty much unplug the modem wait to it to come back on, everything looks good on our end blah blah blah

I want to see the ping test results. That might show something. Your router is hardwired to the cable modem, correct? I am assuming all you have is the cable modem and router.

Also a N600 is a DSL modem/router. So it will not work being a cable modem. You might have something like this.

Same happened to me with Comcast and slooooow connection. I called a couple of times and got the same "everything looks good on our end" BS. Then I demanded a technician come out (Loud noises!) and they found a wire that was almost cut through from when the utility company did work out at the curb. They repaired the cable and now it works fine.

    I suggest loud noises!

I have just Internet, no cable. The N600 is the only device I'm using

try swapping out the Ethernet cable connecting the modem to the router w/ a new/different one... I've had a similar issue and believe it was a poor quality/bad Ethernet cable...

if that doesn't work, try isolating the router by direct connecting the modem to a computer w/ Ethernet cable, and see if you still have problems...
