remote starter causing engine codes?

    Check engine light on and codes 0016 and 0705 come up when checked. Crankshaft sensor and transmission shifting codes respectively. The truck runs and shifts perfect. Am wondering if codes could be being triggered by newly installed compustar remote starter. Any one else had any experience with this?

    I have a similar compustar remote starter . Wondering if the guys who installed remembered to clear the codes after they were finshed . You have to tap into both of those wires for the install .Did you try clearing the codes and scan again ?
