Ok, this is my first post here, so bare with me....

I inherited my brother's '08 Tacoma last year after he became sick...

I love this truck and it holds a dear spot in my heart (obvious reasons stated above)

Anyway my question is, I know the stock Tacoma's exhaust pipe is 2.5". I want to install the Dynomax #17733 which is a shorter muffler. I know I'll need some extra pipe to make up for the space of the stock muffler too. When I cut out the stock muffler will the Dynomax'a flangs slip snugly over the stock piping?

Or is there a lot of play between the two? Reason I want to know is I plan on using exhaust clamps instead of welding it in at least for now.

I've searched for my answer and haven't found it so that's why I'm here.

I can weld, just not very well and I don't want to take it to a shop as I don't want to pay someone for something I can do myself.

Also, I've read that some guys needed adapters?... If so why if the stock pipe is 2.5" and the Dynomax is 2.5" also.

Thanks and I appreciate the help!!!!

    Mike
