    Truck Sat for 11 Months 4by4 worked then But doesn't work now. when I pull it into 4 Wheel the front axle doesn't engage. is there a vacuum hose that wares out

    I think there is an electronic selector for thr 4wd on the first gen. I have heard of it freezing up and sticking before. I would search the site for that and see if you can find a location and a fix.

    ^ There is an actuator that engages the front that can go bad. do some searching on that word and see what you get :)

    You could have a manual or electric actuated transfer case with a vacuum or electric actuated front differential. Your year is likely both electric. The electric actuators for the transfer and the diff are prone to corrosion inside. There was a thread going on around a week ago dealing with the issues.
