new member needs advice

im wondering what body parts off a 04 tacoma 2wd will fit my 98 4x4. a deer ruined my front end. ive run across a roll over with real nice grill , lights and bumper. can anyone help with the years that parts will interchange? thank you

 

Well, the 98 and 04 have different hoods, grilles, core supports, headlights and corner lights, fenders, and bumpers. The biggest deals to change are the core supports and the hoods. These are the differences that I know of between the 98 4X4 and 04 4X4, I'd imagine the same is true of the 04 2WD as well, pretty sure the 2WD was the same as the 4X4 as far as the body goes on the 01-04 years. I know there were some differences on the pre 01 models when it came to grilles and inner cab pieces. Personally I would do the swap because I think the 98 grille isn't one of the better looking ones, but if you aren't comfortable with swapping the core support (mostly attached by welds and rivets) then it may be better to look for a front clip from your years (98-00).

I would PM one of the front end swap people like Madjik_Man or someone who has swapped a whole cab like Blackdawg for more information.
