So I have had my BAMF bed rack installed now for quite some time. I was able to easily mount my hi-lift to the rack by welding a couple of bolts directly to the bed rack, and using heavy duty wing nuts to secure it. I plan to drill small holes thru the bolts so that I can put a lock on them and prevent the wing nuts from being removed.

Now I am looking at getting my shovel, maul, and other possible tools mounted on the rack, so they don't take up bed space. Now of course I have the option of drilling holes in the handle of the tools, and mounting them in the same way I did the Hi-lift, but I don't want to do that, and I have seen in other threads in the past, ways that people have secured their handle-type tools. I can't seem to find them with the search words I have tried, so maybe those who have done this, or know others who have, what other SECURE methods of mounting these tools have you done and/or seen? What company makes the best ones?

    Thoughts? Ideas?

I used these to mount a ladder to the top of my bed rack...

I mounted them to the top bars and mounted the super quick fists to them. Regular quick fists work with them too. Not sure if this helps but it's what I did. I eventually want to weld tabs and other things to my rack when it warms up but this is good for now. I just order another set, to use with some other quick fists I have lying around.

I have seen those, but I am concerned a bit about security, and ease of use. Seems like it would be easy to steal the tools, and if you need to remove a tool, a clamp would just be a pitb. Thanks for replying though.

I am looking for something that is a bit more quick-release type, but can be locked or secured.

Yeah I feel ya. I just have a coated steel cable wrapped around with a lock. Not the best but deterrent enough hopefully. Post it up if you find something.
