2012 Non-Touch Head Unit in 2007 adding Sat Radio

If I install a 2012 Non-Touch Head Unit in my 2007 what else would I need to add to get Sat radio? Can an aftermarket antenna (aka not the sharkfin) be installed??

 

OK, How about an easier question: Does the 2012 non-touch unit have the XM built into it or is it powered by a stand alone "tuner"?

OK, so here is the answer. The stock 2012 Head Units have the XM tuner built in. I used this wire: http://www.tss-radio.com/vais-technologies-toyota-radio-satellite-antenna-adapter-cable-fra3m.html to adapt a stand-alone non-Toyota xm magnetic antenna. You need to remove a small plastic "fin" on the top of the plug on the adapter so that it plugs into the head unit. Once you do that, it is all plug and play!
