I think you need to go back and read the suspension threads every night for about 3 months. You will then realize there is no debating on either option you proposed. By that time, you should hopefully have a tax return and some more money to do things the right way as everyone has suggested.
Another suggestion, those Nittos are expensive tires that wont last long, you can get the same size BFG or GY tires and save about $200. Same thing on the Worx wheel...not sure what style you want, but those are about twice what other similar black wheels cost..could probably save another $400 there. Have you also got an estimate on how much the install will cost you? Also forgot since you are lifting over 2" you will need new UCA...so that is another $500.

Bottom line you can level the front with 1.75" lift with 5100s and that will cost you about $600 ($300 parts+$300 labor).

If you want 2.5 or 3" lift, which involves lifting the rear and new UCA...that will run you close to $2000 ($1400 parts +$600 labor).

Study and do your homework and save your money. Good Luck

I agree with almost everything he said. He's got excellent points.

    Two things:
1.)You will most likely be fine with stock UCAs if you don't go above 2.5".
2.)He makes a good point about install costs, but you should be able to do it yourself if you got some basic tools. You can rent a spring compressor from Autozone. I only paid around $1100 total to install my 3" lift (link I sent you) and new UCAs.

One of the kits comes with a top plate that is $60 that you can get it without. I wont get that. I plan to set the front at 2.5 inches of lift and a 2 inch rear lift spring so I don't think I'll need UCA's. I can put the lift on myself, it's pretty simple. Ive put the lift on my two previous Jeeps. I just ordered the wheels and tires today. The wheels were $145 a piece and the tires were $250. I'm sure I could have gotten a cheaper tire but that's what I wanted and I was fine with the price. Only other thing I'll Ill need is an alignment.
