Ballast box for rear weight and I can't tell from the pic BUT if that is a Q/A bucket PLEASE be careful "mining".....;) they get off kilter quite easy....

Good luck with it and hopefully Kubota quality keeps it around 20+ years..

Had to think a sec what QA meant. No, it's not the quick-attach bucket.

I was gonna get some suitcase weights for the rear, since I already have a mounting bracket that will hold them. Easier to store those, too. The ballast box looks pretty massive.

Sorry for that QA.. we had 2 bucket "oops" in the last month, both fixed by minor tweaks instead of cutting/welding..."pin-ons" will take more abuse.

One other "hint" would be to let the deck lie while using the bucket on a steady basis....small but irritable hydraulic "gremlins" can drive an owner and his Kubota store nuts..;) plus it allows you more ground clearance to finish those Quad/Tacoma bumps you plan

Yeah, I can certainly see the deck getting in the way if I were using the loader for a lot of bigger jobs. My 1-acre lot is flat, except for some mild ruts installed by the crane and dump trucks from the tree service a few years ago. If I ever got off-site with this for some other work, I will definitely remove th deck. I'll find my local Taco club and go 4-wheelin with 'em.

We had a similar size John Deere growing up.

With a little patience, you'd be amazed the amount of earth you can move with that little thing.
