Hi. I just recently bought the Icon Stage 7T kit for my '14 taco. Originally, I kept the fronts set to the factory setting, but my 285/70/17s around 17x9 (-12offset) rims were rubbing the fender and frame (cab mount?) slightly. Then it settled and it got unbearable. So I got an alignment and rubbing was considerably less but rubbed a lot in reverse. I grabbed my spanner wrench and cranked it up until there was only like 4 full revolutions left or threads showing underneath where you crank w/ the wrench. I'm not even close to rubbing right now. *I'm also running a plate bumper and winch.

    1) Is lifting it that high going to negatively effect the quality of the suspension?

    2) Will the coil overs settle again and drop the height of my truck?

Sounds like a lot of preload in the springs. Check your height. its not uncommon to have to cut the cab mount to gain clearance for the tires.

I'm in the same boat. Gonna install stage 5 this weekend and I got the same wheel setup as you. I heard there was gonna be some rubbing. but from your experience, sounds like it's more than expected. I didn't want to Cab mount chop, but I think I'll have to at this point.

I was thinking it's a lot of preload too. I raised the truck up about 1" in the front from where it was previously, no rubbing even in reverse in full lock. It sits slightly higher than the back though which I wanted to avoid, but I'd rather have that than rubbing.

You might have to, everyones truck sees different results. Keep me updated.

IIRC, Icon has 700# springs available, so you might want to consider getting those. The stock springs are designed for lift, and maybe a bumper. With a heavy bumper, and winch, you might need the heavier springs.
