I want to do a quality stereo installation on my 06 Access Cab Taco.
I have been doing a lot of research here and elsewhere.
I came across this video on YouTube regarding speaker installation on the front doors. Is this guy doing good/valid work, or is it total Overkill?
I KNOW we want good quality structural mounting of the Speaker.....I am mostly wondering about all the FOAM. Is it desirable or not worth the trouble?

Wow that looks like a lot of work just for music. I guess if your in your truck for 2 hours or more a day listening to tunes it's worth it. I'm in mine for under 1/2 a day and my Entune works just fine. But I don't know if adding all these things will give you true bass response or not. My last Taco had all the ********* adapters and the bass was definitely diminished without the factory type cage it is in when you take the door off, so this might actually work good.

I have a double cab and ordered the foam based on another thread on here recommending it. I can't personally say if it helps or not but I figure it's cheap and easy so why not use it when doing the install :) Rear doors finished today, should be done with the fronts tomorrow hopefully.

in regards for the foam rings- They help out a bit on inferior setups or improperly set up/ use of a product. Its like people using caps to make up for their terrible electric.

The foam ring can help mitigate unwanted vibration etc from the panel but if you spend a little time with the panel, there won't be any issues. ID personal focus on getting Your mounting template exactly the right hight needed to clear the door panel, deadener on the doors, and done properly, sealing the door to get a perfect seal for the IB application.

Then dealing with time alignment and phases etc will remove allot of other issues. In short, these foam rings will help a bit to mask some problems per say, like a bandaid.

There is foam like cup that people use on the rear of the speaker. These work pretty good, but i don't recommend using them on trucks that go off roading lots as moisture can get into the foam.

I dont recommend installing cross overs on the door either
