    Hello,
I read and heard that in our Tacoma or any other vehicle, the rear speakers are not that important. They are just there for "rear-fill", they said. However I have a different experience. I upgraded my rear speakers to Jl audio's C2 650x and I cannot believe the improvement! With properly dialed cross-over and time correction the difference is outstanding compared to what my sound system performed before the upgrade. Even when running a 5 1/4 Sony speakers where the JL resides right now, the difference in sound performance is night and day. Why is this the case? You opinions will be greatly appreciated. Godspeed.

I'm curious, did you upgrade any other part of your system? If not that might help explain it.

You're right about the tuning..some people just figure drop it in and forget it.

Plus you got a good quality product in the JL.

    Hi ABA 180,
Yes, I have Alpine 149bt as the headunit, JL audio C5 components up front, Alpine SWR T10 sub powered by Alpine PDX M6 amp and Audiocontrol epicenter for bass EQ. I had the system before changing my rear speakers. The improvement is amazing! Godspeed.
