My 2012 Tacoma will pair with the truck as a music player but not as a phone. Calls bring up the pause display on the radio with no connection. Upon getting in the truck, Bluetooth opens and starts playing tunes from Google radio on my phone through the trucks speakers. If I disable the player by checking the box on my phone the connection to Bluetooth is lost. The Tacoma is 2012 without Entune, the phone is the Motorola turbo. My last Motorola razor max worked fine. (I did delete the old phone from the truck) Any suggestions ?

On your phone, go to settings<-Bluetooth. On the 2012Tacoma paring, click the edit button, sort of looks like a sideways EQ (equalizer) button. Then check the box that says Phone audio.

Works for me, thats how my turbo is set up.

When I go to that page on my phone there is only one button that says media audio. I assume yours has two boxes one for media and one for phone? The phone pairs easy with media just not phone. Am I missing something? good to hear your using a turbo and it works, I just need to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

My turbo works great on my 2013. I use poweramp for the music, and the stock dialer for the phone. Have you tried deleting the phone from the tacoma and starting over?

Also, try adding the phone as a phone first and not a media player. That should do the trick.

I always add my phone by pushing the phone button on the steering wheel then choosing to connect from there and it has always worked. Try doing that before you start over.

Yes I have 2 check boxes in the bluetooth settings, one for phone audio and one for media audio. On a phone call, there us also an option on the phone screen to select a Bluetooth device or handset earpiece on the bottom row of icons. It could be defaulting to handset earpiece for some reason.
