Light bar behind stock grill build

    Today I mounted a LED light bar behind my grill. I made a bar to mount it to using a piece of aluminum I bought from Home Depot. I bolted the light bar on and then wired it using a harness that another member suggested.

    No offense but that makes zero sense to have it behind a stock grill. You will get light, but nowhere near what you would get with a modified grill of some sort. Seems pointless the way it is.

    I have to agree. It looks like more than half of the light bar is covered. I bought a Satoshi Grill so my Hella 700's could shine through.

    Me too just waiting to put my BAMF light bar in and attach the Hella 500's. Doing it like this is like putting a fish tank in a wall with no window.

    Stock grill will definitely block a lot of the output. I noticed a difference when I cut the grills out of my lower valance. Made a noticeable difference.

    That's the exact same bar that I want to get behind my grill, BAMF is out of the led brackets so I might just make my own mounts. Did you have any trouble relocating the horns?

    Jerry will make more. They're really sturdy from BAMF.

    I simply made an extension wire that connected to the stock connector. I located the horns in the lower radiator support. Some folks work hard to move the entire harness. Screw that. Just zip tie the new wire to the center brace. Once you take the grill out the first time you'll see it's pretty easy.
