Hmm, no tint on my front windshield, but spray away by CRL has no ammonia in it, so shouldn't hurt tint

Yea its "spray way" glass cleaner. Make sure when you buy it that it is ammonia free. The one I have is

 

And non chemical tire cleaner that works? Or a tire cleaner that won't hurt my aftermarket wheels paint?

Question for those that know .
Pinstriped the hell out of my 2 month old 2015 MGM today, both sides. Not a big issue for me but they can be felt very very slightly with a fingernail.
Reading through the thread I assume my best option is to polish the truck or just the scratches? with a polish such as Mequiar's and then Wax the truck?
With the polish, do I work the scratched areas a bit harder than the rest of the truck in a circular motion?

You probably won't be able to get those out my hand. More than likely will require a machine. If you can catch with fingernail, you may not be able to get out at all.

You don't want to work it in a circular motion, there's always a possibility of lifting up small rocks and pieces. Then you'll be in more trouble

 

That is why the surface needs to be properly cleaned and clayed to avoid debris.

 

As mentioned erlier, I scratched both sides of truck from front qtr to rear tail light on the trail.


I ended up simply buying Mequiar's Scratch 2.0. After washing I applied by hand with terry cloth discs and had to work it hard. Took a couple hours as it was below freezing and raining a bit. Next time I will use a rotary for sure and wait for better weather.
Cleaned as much off as possible with a clean towel - was a bitch to completely get off and didn't get it all.
Today I waxed the truck with Mequiar's and it seemed to get the rest of the Scratch 2.0 residue off.

Worked like a champ for a detail hack like myself and the worst of the marks are barely if at all visible.

 

Very nice description of using Scratch X. You really need to work it hard and put your body weight behind it. Nice job looks great.

Hard to go wrong with Pinnacle liquid Souveran for white. Price is pretty decent as well.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a 3 pack of this towel to take off the wax and buff it to a nice shine.

Also pick up some applicator pads.


You will be set to go for quite some time. Apply 2 thin coats for best results.
