Hi crew, I have a 1998 toyota tacoma 2.4L Manual transmission.
I had a bad exhaust leak because I had a cracked exhaust manifold. So I replaced it with another one that I bough from Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/130944151058
When I had to put the egr line back on to the exhaust manifold it wouldn't exactly fit. I had to really fight with it so it can bolt on to the manifold. I finally did with so much struggle. No more exhaust leaks but now I'm getting the p0401 for insufficient egr flow. What do you guys think the problem is?

Grey wire and keyless entry. I like stock.
Check the other end of the egr dump tube. Does it look like anything is wrong there? Even if the egr tube wasn't there, it wouldnt pop that code so I doubt that tube is your problem. It may have stressed the valve just enough to put a crack where it meets the plenem. Its definitely somewhere at the egr/plenum location where you'll find the culprit.

I bought a cheap RockAuto one for mine and remember the egr port being way out of spec and it took a lot of muscle to get it to line up for the nuts/bolts to realign and tighten it. Mine didn't pop any codes after that.

That's exactly what happened to me, it didn't really align. It also took a lot of muscle to realign. I'm going to check the egr and plenum. Also, will a 2002 exhaust manifold fit my tacoma, same fittings just looks like headers

Yes!! The stock mini header will fit all the models that came with the cast manifold 2.4 or 2.7L.. going that route is a much better choice than a cheap aftermarket mani. No fittment issues and you won't be replacing another cracked manifold ever again.
