Just wanted to post this real quick because I finally fixed my trucks P0171 after about a year.
    symptoms:
    Loud intake
    low power
    hesitation when accelerating
I went through everything everyone has suggested, cleaning the MAF, replaced all the o2 sensors, got URD's o2 healer since my cats are hollow, checked for vacuum leaks, everything. The other day I looked down at the crank pulley and noticed when the cams were at TDC the notch on the crank pulley was about 10 degrees right of the "0" marking. Basically, when I changed my timing belt, the cams rotated left a bit once I put the belt around the crank, causing the crank to be about 10 degrees advanced of the cams. So I tore it down and redid the timing belt, code went away, got my power back, and the intake is much quieter. The only code it ever threw was the P0171 lean code. So if you have this problem after doing a timing belt yourself, put the cams at tdc and check the location of the crank pulley's notch relative to the gauge on its cover.
