I have an '02 SR5 and need to replace the interior rear view mirror w/ a unit that has compas and temp display. I'm not sure how to move the current one which is attached to a plastic stem from the map light and not glued to the windshield mount. Can anyone advise on how to get this mirror removed w/out breaking it or the map lights?:confused:THANKS!

Remove the cover off of the map lights, pull the whole bracket out and on the back side remove the screws holding the mirror, reinstall map light bracket and cover, your done.

What are you using for a mirror? The 4Runner version is too wide, you won't be able to use your sun visors correctly. I know, I used that one first. I now have a unit from a Mazda Miata that has the display on the bottom of the mirror, cool thing is it is a 1/2" narrower and displays both the temp and direction at the same time. You can use your sun visors correctly also.
