Looking to see if any of you have ever hooked up a runlock in your tacomas before. A switch that allows you to pull the key out of your ignition and still keep the engine running and also being able to lock the doors. I know I will get plenty of you asking why I need this or any other reason why I shouldn't do this, but I am wanting this because I have a few vhf and uhf radios, police scanners and also all my emergency lights(strobes, traffic advisor). I take photos for the fire department so when I go to scenes I want to be able to keep the engine running so I don't drain my batteries. So can any of you help me with this?

The system I'm familiar with is this one from Tremco. We used them in our patrol cars. It's been a few years so the current system works a bit differently, but the idea is the same. There is a member here that has a Tacoma as a patrol vehicle. He may have something similar and chime in.
