Wired for OEM Locking Diff?

    2012 Tacoma 4X2. Mine apparently doesn't have locking diff as there is no button. I removed the plastic blank cover where the "RR Diff Lock" button should have been and there's a wired connector plugged into the back of the plastic blank cover.

    It looks like I would only need to add the "RR Diff Lock" button (as the example below) and this connector would plug right in.

    Anyone else seen this? What other components would be needed for locking diff? Is the truck wired for locking diff without the hardware?

    I would seriously doubt Toyota would put a locker in the rear of all trucks and just not include the button for those who didn't pay the $$$ for the Off Road Package.

    You'd need a new rear axle housing with the elocker in it... (the housings are different... the e-locker requires clearance) I just had one swapped in
