I've need a bit of searching on here and the internet and I need a bit of direction...links lol.

My wife has a stock 07 tacoma access cab long box and I have a pretty good setup on my 2011 double cab long box. My wife is thinking about getting rid of her truck, but I was thinking about robbing the rear axle with the elocker on it and leaving her truck with my axle.

If it's not possible or too much hassle then I'll just go with an ARB setup.

Any suggestions or help is much appreciated!

if she is selling it.... not having the factory elocker is going to look pretty weird.

if you really want a locker (dont worry happens to all the guys with the sport) then go arb.

Yeah, it would be weird... for someone who knows about Tacomas.

I've been envious of it the whole time. I needed the extra cab space for work stuff so I ended up with the Sport.

I would just swap all of my goodies over to her truck, but I've cut every fender but one.

I guess I should stop being so cheap and buy the ARB lol

But for shitz and giggles, it cant be that hard?

I'm betting in the end you'd probably spend more time and money trying to swap everything over than just getting yourself a stronger ARB

Swapping the axle will probably cost just as much as a new ARB locker.

If i am not mistaken, the 4wd computers are completely different to accommodate for the rear locker on the TRD OR's

Like stated, if you want a locker, go arb, and you will have best of all worlds!

DONT DO IT!!! Just go arb and save yourself the bs of factory elocker. Im on diff # 4 with th elocker
Flying krawler is on diff # 3 with elocker

They are weaker design than the sport go sport and arb you will have a much better end result ;)

Keepte Sport diff (bigger / stronger than E-locker dif) and go ARB. Had them in my 40 for about 20 years with no issues!

Agreed with everyone here. My Elocker ate a lot of parts and your diff is stronger and more reliable. As far as the technical part goes, the complete axle would bolt right in and you could easily run an independent ORS elocker harness and the total cost would be around $150. Less if you make your own harness. It would be a dick move to the next buyer who would be posting yet another "my elocker is broke" thread, but it could be done pretty easily. http://www.offroadsolutions.com/products/ors-e-locker-wiring-harness/

So many people can't be wrong. I like the sounds of keeping the stronger rear end which is the main reason why I'd go with an ARB setup.

Even if I did swap the axles I would remove the locker button in the wifey's truck and insert one of my unused blanks in place of it so anyone buying it wouldn't be mislead.

I'm just being cheap because I want long travel and 35s next and of course there's re gearing too.
