Hi new to this fourm. Dont have a tacoma yet but thinking about getting one. I have a 2010 Tundra crew max and want to trade it in on a tacoma 4x4. Love the tundra just want to down size, I had a 2006 texas ed double cab and for some reason I still miss it. I traded it in because I needed to haul heavy pallets in the back and got a 2007.5 dodge diesel 4x4, biggest mistake. the new emission laws are killing diesel trucks. So back to the question, is there anything I should look out for in the current tacoma's ,what are your dislikes or should I wait for the 2016. When do you think the new taco's will hit the dealers. I appreciate yall's help.

new taco won't be till late fall, id wait a week for the reveal. then decide on for yourself. I've owned a 2000,2008,2011 and now my 2015 (yes I knew about the 2016) and not regretting a minute of it. Good luck with your search, either way it will be a wise choice.

First gen was high school and college before I could afford new/newer trucks. both gens have been reliable.

I'm in the same boat. I'm looking to buy a new Tacoma in April (when my son buys my Chevy Equinox off of me). I just can't wait until the new 2016 comes out, so I'll be going ahead and jumping on a 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport.

Make sure the new 2016's don't have the same piece of shit frames and wheel bearings. If so go to something else, I would. If I would have known the Tacoma's still had these issues I would not have bought one

People are saying 5 or 6 years depending where you are. You buy a house you get full disclosure. These dealerships and such know the frames are garbage and they don't disclose that to you. I will probably keep mine for a year or two and maybe get a 4 Runner unless after research they have the same issues
