i was wiping my dash and gauge cluster the other day, using a microfiber cloth of course! must of been a grain of sand in it because theres fine scuffs on my plastics, resulting in a haze when the gauges light up :(. anyone have any tips on how to remove these without replacing the gauge cluster?

You don't have to replace the gage cluster, just the lens. It's fairly cheap from dealer. Just did mine about a month ago, took about 15 minutes and about $30.00. Like new now.

i considered plastx, but i know it has an abrasive in it(fine) and thought it might worsen the problem. what all is involved in changing the lens? would you happen to have a write up on it?

That's what I did. Got it pretty cheap: $20 shipped on ebay.

It's easy to change the lens. I took mine out last year to polish it... it looks like a brand new part.

It involves removing the lower kick panel, lower dash cover, then the gauge shroud/cover.... you'll need to adjust your steering wheel to the lowest position to pull the upper cover off. Once the cover is off, the one piece lens will unscrew from the cluster.
