Ordered a cap for the truck. I do not want the current break light to light up between the panes of glass. Trying to avoid reflections at night.

The question is if I just remove the bulbs will it throw codes or cause any issues?

Don't want to have cap installed and watertight and then have to take it off to put bulbs back.

It shouldn't throw a code. Unplug it and tape the connector.
