    Hey Folks,

Picked myself up a '95 Toyota Tacoma Regular Cab 4wd SX last year and am slowly working through it to fix and replace things. Right now I'm working on replacing my grill, but I'm having a hell of a time. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

It seems that the bottom tabs want to sit behind the chrome bumper. I started taking the bumper off but the bolts are frozen and one broke off. Not a job I want to continue right now. Is there a way to put the new grill back on without taking the bumper off?

Also, I'm trying to replace the front directional assemblies (the ones that sit in the plastic bumper below the chrome). I have a whole new assembly with bulb, etc. but can't detach the old assembly. If anyone could help me, I'd be forever grateful.

    Thanks!
    Samantha

I have a 95 and I'll have to take a look tomorrow afternoon. I just took the grille off of a 2000 Tacoma yesterday and other than two slightly hidden clips, it came off in just a couple of minutes.

As for your turn signals - is it the screws or the connector? On mine the connectors were a pain in the ass cause they had gotten dirt in them over the years. I used a pair of pliers to squeeze the tab and wiggle the connector until it would come off the original turn signal housing. I could not get it to come loose by hand.

Yeah, I'm going to guess that the 2000 has a different set up. I tried tilting the grill back and forth thinking that the top or bottom would slide into place and then allow the other end to settle in, but no luck. Wasn't sure if there was a trick to it.

For the turn signals, it's the connector. And yeah, they're dirty as shit. I'll just have to clean them a bit more and try harder.

Turns out the truck has been in an accident pushing the bumper back .5-1", making what should be an easy job that much more complicated.
