I have a 2015 Tacoma DCSB 4X4 TRD Sport with the Entune JBL with Navi and today when I started the truck the audio volume is full blast and I can not turn it down. There is also a high pitched ear piercing sound that makes your ears ring (not kidding) I tried to turn the radio off and back on, but it did not work and the problem persist.

I tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it, but the audio is still full blast with that terrible high pitched sound (like a loud house alarm)

I ended up removing both of the audio fuses until I can get it to the dealer, but I wanted to check to see if anyone has experienced this before ?

My truck only has 2,100 miles on it...

    Jeff

And people are afraid to buy the 2016 because it will be a first run of the new generation and don't want to encounter issues like this, on the 11th run of the second generation...

I would have suggested the same thing, removing the the fuses until you get it to the dealer. Perhaps try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes or so, then reinstall the fuses.

Sounds like OP can shut radio off, but when it comes back on its full blast.

Answer: take it to the dealer, it will likely need to be replaced.

Yep. It is going to the dealer tomorrow. I will be sure to leave a set of ear plugs in the truck for the tech.

It sounds like a defective radio. Get it replaced and problem solved.

Well it is not the radio. Dealer put in a new radio from another Tacoma and the new radios is doing the same thing. They are telling me that they may need to bring in a Toyota engineer to figure it out as they have never seen this before. The tech could not believe how loud the high pitched sound is.

    Stay tuned.....
