I am new on this site and also a first time Tacoma owner.
I just purchased a used 2010 Access Cab TRD Off Road with about 53,000 miles.
I also just let go my 1997 Ford Ranger 4x4 XLT with about 155,000 and sounding and driving close to crapping out. The Ranger served me well for over a decade and never left me stranded out there. I did have to change a starter on a big box store parking lot one time however. Not bad at all.

I have recently retired and I want to do more camping up the mountains in Colorado and in the Utah deserts.

The truck is amazingly clean, look new and does not appear to have ever been driven on dirt or 4wheel rds.

I am planning to put a high tech camper, if we can afford it. One of those light way aluminum that pop up and run about $11,000 new, phew! But then we can more easily drive on 4 wheel rds and without pulling a trailer.

I am glad to have found this site as it appears to have a lot of good info. I may consider moving to larger rims and tires, 17" but the ones on it now are brand new Goodrich AT.

Thanks and good luck with your rigs and fun trips
