Which of these options would be the better option to run on stock off-road coils?

1/2" top plate spacer giving it a 1" lift on stock struts and coils

    or

5100 shocks set at .85 or 1.75 with stock coils?

I've got the 2+1 leafs in the rear now but after the rear gets fixed due to the recall I've heard I might have 3+1 leafs so that would be the only reason I go to the 1.75 as of right now.

Would the ride be a noticable difference in the two options vs stock?

I would imagine that the 5100s would be wayyyy better than the spacer for ride quality.

I didn't know being that small of a spacer but I guess the 5100 would absorb more bounce maybe. I'm dumb when it comes to suspensions

I wouldn't say better or worse. I would use different.

Buddy with Colorado put spacers on his truck I think it rides the same as stock maybe little stiffer. New shocks will feel different. Again no experience with Tacoma shocks and coils but generally changing them gives you a different feel not necessarily stiffer or softer.

What are the dampening specs for the 5100? That will give tou an idea
