So im going back to the dealer after the holidays here, demanding a parts list of is covered under toyota, now a as far as a time line, service manager stated at time of inspection 9-13-2014 that it expected to be completed by end of february, if i was a betting a man , i.d would say more like april, judging from other post. My dealer sent me to enterprise rental car and i went home in a 2015 chevy silverado crew cab for the time being.

It only took them a week to do mine (warranty pays 40hrs)..they didn't charge me for any additional parts, I have 3 pages of parts they replaced. Very happy with my dealer (Coughlin Toyota), and Toyota.

    Faulkner Toyota

When was your frame inspection done? when did the work actually take place and get your truck back? Did your dealer already do other Tacoma frame replacements? Yes I think we all know its a 40+ hr job. I personally don't think they will be able to get it done in 40 hours. but that's just my opinion

Interesting. I didn't realize how close you were. Let us know how it goes at Faulkner.

I'm probably going to take mine to New Holland Auto Group - that's the dealer where I bought my truck. My local dealership is retarded . I only go to them for little stuff or parts.

I'm patiently waiting for the leaf spring remedy to be finalized...so I can get those done & frame inspected at the same time.

I drive past new Holland Toyota and Ford every week. Yes we are kinda close... you know like 40-45 miles or so... lol.. if you think there is a hole in your frame get the frame checked out NOW so you can sit on the waiting list like the rest of us. But you will be a little further ahead. in the waiting line

i also wonder if its time to have the dealer do a clutch , orginal (assumed) at 100k, when they rip my taco apart. Save on some labor cost?

lower ball joints more then likely.. But maybe not since they are unboltable from the spindles.
I was thinking the same thing but with the front timing cover oil leak that most of us 4.0L owners run into

Timing cover oil leak? Mine has 97k on it and its tighter than 2 coats of paint. Would it be a good idea to reseal the cover as preventive maintance?

It took 2 months to get the frame in, they inspected it in September, I kept driving the truck until it came in. There are probably 25+ old frames laying behind the dealer, and maybe 10 new ones beside it.....It too the 1 week from the Monday I dropped it off, until when I picked it up the next Monday.

Taking mine in Tuesday for the drivetrain vibration since the frame/springs recall. Above 60 it will blur your vision.

I'm getting my '07 with 84K miles inspected by Conicelli (near Philly) on Monday. The frame has a fair amount of rust and one perforation 1.5" in diameter by the driver's side cat. Would this qualify for a full frame replacement? Appreciate any guidance.

OP,i was told by harrisburg,pa toyota tech that the only items other than the frame that would be replaced on mine would be the bolts that hold the body to the frame. If u read the other threads, there r a lot of additional items that can be replaced at the dealers discretion.
Find the frame recall thread. It has a corporate parts list for dealer completing a frame replacement.
This is very confusing. Most of the comments from members have brake & fuel lines included, etc.
    Why isnt mine?
    Hope this helps.
    The saga continues.
