What kind of tube clamps are everyone using to mount their gear to tubular bed crossbars and bed racks?

Most of the tubing used by our community of fabricators seems to be 1.75". Googling around, I've seen some light-duty clamps - plastic KC clamps and such, but they seem to be for lighter loads. I'm sure TW must have found and come up with heavier-duty solutions...

I'm looking to mount a bigass Pelican case to a couple of the Relentless crossbars to start.

Yakima and Thule were my first stop, but it looks like all their clamps are either designed for oblong bars, like these, or are made of plastic, intended to snap around poles, like these.

Those certainly look slick! The closest one they have for my purposes would be their perpendicular mount, but looking at it closely, it appears that all the weight of whatever I'm mounting on the perpendicular surface gets transferred to those two screws rather than the body of the clamp, but then, I'm no engineer. They're kind of expensive at $55 / pair.

Those guys do have a bunch of cool stuff on their site, though.

I'm probably going to go with something like these - found them bumming on eBay and traced them to the Wehrs racing shop in Wisconsin. They've got a bunch of similar clamp mounts on their actual site, and $12/per seems more in line with the amount I want to spend.

Thanks for the help looking guys!
