I contacted ATO (haven't heard back yet), but the side piece didn't match up with the fender flare :(

Nice MJ, hopefully ATO can do something about the lack of length. Cut looks clean.

Yeah I wonder what happened. Patrick (pdugan6) actually requested ATO to cut his side pieces 2" short (exactly how mine is) because he cut his fenders 2" to fit 35s. And it looks perfect on his. But I just wanted the regular length.

    MJ,

I bet Adam sent you one where someone requested to have it shorter on accident. Things happen but I know Adam is a super cool dude to deal with. Iv'e sent him a few emails over the years and it seems like he checks it every 2-3 days. Looks good on the rig dude!

Looks like it's cut for someone that doesn't run flares. I bet it lines up perfectly with the fender itself.

Time to take the flares off! You'll rip them off on the trail anyway, at least I did. :D

haha nah I'm keeping them on. Don't like the look of the holes on the fender, or the line that gets left behind. Plus the flares hide the small bolts the bracket I'm using for the fender support.

I reused the "L" bracket that was on the fender:

Then flipped it and mounted it on the fender. You can kinda see the two bolts here:

I also saved the inner fender/splash guard. I cut the overall length of it and some notches on the side

Hey MJ, if I remember correctly you tuned your cb radio over at Scotty's mod day a while back, right?
That was just in his drive way, but every instructions I've read for tuning say to do it in an open area. Have you re-tuned your radio since then? How was it there, do you remember?
I'm re-tuning my radio but it's a bit more difficult to find open areas down here in suburban SoCal than it was in the ag areas of the central valley :p

I've actually tuned it a couple of times since. And I have to do it again once I figure out how to mount it to my new bumper.

But yeah, technically you have to do it in open space, but I've also tried to retune my antenna in an open space after I had just "incorrectly" tuned it next to buildings a few days prior and it didn't even need adjust. So idk?

Mine doesn't either :( One side is perfect but the other looks too short just like yours. I was going to complain but Adam was super helpful in getting it rushed out to me before my Moab trip. Plus I'm going to be cutting fenders soon for bigger tires so I figured I'd just chop it to match and reweld it then :)

Interesting. Yeah I just did it in the middle of my cul-de-sac. Right Channel Radios says to have 10-15 meters between anything and the antenna, and the very center of the street is 10 meters from anything, so I just did it there. It seems to be a pretty good tune (1.25 on channel 1, 1.1 on channel 40) so I'm not gonna worry about it. I'll probably check it again in an open area next time I'm in the desert or something, but it's good to know that you didn't need to adjust yours after "incorrectly" tuning it. Thanks!
    Truck's looking good, too! :spy:
