Okay! So I have a 2013 4x4 TRD Sport with a 2" lift. I've decided on Duratracs and know that 265/7516 will fit not problem. My question is can I squeeze in 285/7516's with out a cab chop? She's mostly a daily driver on road, load hauler and towing vehicle and will not do major off road flexing. Back roads and sand are about all I will ask her to do! How much rubbing can I expect?

I am running the 285's KO's and had to trim. Put them on over a year ago and they really never rubbed except for full lock reverse. Now that the tires are a little older, they do not rub at all.

Look under the front of your truck. See those plastic square things that are hanging down? Those had to go and I had to take a little off the end of my fender on the front corner. I had a buddy of mine cut and he did a nice job of making sure everything was cut and smoothed out. Just like sideburns, even and clean.

Edit: I am only lifted 2.5 inches.

Theoretically you can run 285's on a truck with no lift once everything is trimmed. Also it depending what wheels you have has a lot to do with how much rub you will have. Stock wheels might not rub the cab mount but they could rub the uca. I say just get the 285's if thw thought is in your mind that's what your really want. Then just trim accordingly. I didn't wanna cut on a brand new truck but once you make the first cut the rest are really easy. And if you do a nice job nobody will be able to tell without really looking at it.

    Well said!
Yea I cringe at the thought of cutting into my truck but I guess the first cut hurts the worst. The rest... not so much!
