2015 Absent TRD Packages

Just an observation...so please...forgive me if this has been posted elsewhere around here.

I was just doing a model build on Toyota.com and noticed the only available TRD package is exclusive to the TRD Pro. As I was interchanging colors and package options my choices of combinations were very limited and I was often forced to make package option changes based upon the color I chose "due to inventory". I also noticed the TRD Pro does not include a complete towing package (oil and trans cooler with hitch).

 

I'm looking at the Toyota site right now and doing a build on a Tacoma. The first choices do have the TRD Pro options, but if you choose double cab and keep moving along, I see the TRD Sport and Offroad options under the 5th gate, 'packages'.

Choose Double cab at the beginning instead of TRD pro and it should work out for you.

 

^^^^ This, make sure your cab selection is Double Cab and not TRD Pro. After that you will still have some restrictions in color for various options depending on your region, but you will see lots of TRD Sport and OR packages to chose from. And if they are V6 they will all have the tow package - nearly impossible to find a V6 without the tow package actually.

 

Depends on which Toyota "region" you are in. Common some regions, less so in others.
