    So it's between the:

OME/ToyTec Complete Suspension / lift kit
    Dakar OME CS047R Leaf Pack
    Assembled Front Coil Overs
    885 Front Coils
Front Top Plate Spacers for Full 3"
    Front Diff Drop Kit
    90021 Front Shocks
    Rear shock stone guards.

PRICE $1540 - incl, Shipping & NOT installed.

    or

    BDS 4" Suspension Lift Kit

    PRICE $1700 + $1760 installation.

I've heard nothing but praise for the OME stuff and I'm definitely close to a decision.

I've boiled it down between these two kits. If there is any immediate recommendations against either they'd be greatly appreciated since I'm WAY less familiar with the BDS system.

Pros & Cons anyone? Other options?

    So, A few points:

    1. I'd like to run 17x9 wheels with a 285/70/17 which would work perfect with the 3" OME/ToyTec but the BDS kit won't allow for this. I'd have to go 18x9 (not preferable)

2.BDS requires some chopping and welding. Doesn't sound like something i wanna have done. Could I get some ELI5 on this?

2.1 Seems like the BDS also has no front Dif drop kit adding some serious stress on my CV’s. - I don’t wanna be coming back in a few months with issues.

3.With a 4" lift what is the best tire size? I was thinking 285/75/18 would be the biggest I could go with some expected clipping. Am I in the ball park?

    4. I'd say I'm 70%-30% On-Off road. Are new UCA's a requirement? It's all i hear about, but I'm not often aggressively taking on trails.

    5. I heard Dakar's are the bomb. Will the Dakar leaf pack make my rear height higher than the front? If I wanna stay level should I choose the Toytec 2" AAL option, 3 Leaf mini pack or the 1.5" block kit?

    Thanks any info is appreciated.

I'd say go OME and install it yourself. It really isn't that difficult if you have the right tools and a buddy to help you out.

With the OME setup you will probably need aftermarket UCAs as well.

Im sure Bornwildguy will chime in and correct me if I am wrong. The 4" lift is essentially the same as the 6" just with one less preload spacer. So you do have the option to go higher if you'd like and still maintain proper suspension geometry. Just a thought..And remember the drop bracket kits are somewhat permanent after cutting the cross member. If you have a shop do the install have them return everything they remove/cut.

Are new UCA's a requirement? 2.5" or more it is highly recommended you get new UCAs

Will the Dakar leaf pack make my rear height higher than the front? Dakars give 2.75" of lift. If you want to be level, a lot of people remove the 3rd leaf from the pack.

If I wanna stay level should I choose the
    Toytec 2" AAL option Garbage
3 Leaf mini pack A good idea if you don't haul/tow a lot.
    1.5" block kit Garbage

The only problem with adding onto the OEM leafs is just that. You are keeping the OEM leafs which are garbage to begin with. I would swap it out entirely. Just my .02.

Any plans to run armor/bumper/winch up front?

Correct on the 4" and 6" being the same except for the small preload spacer they provide for the 6" for the front and 4" blocks for rear in 6" and 3" blocks in rear for 4" kit..

On the bds / zone there is no diff drop bracket like on a 3" kit because it is a drop bracket which lowers your differential down to keep your cv / tierod angles like stock.

On the bds / zone you are cutting a 7" section out of the crossmember ( as with most db kits) for the driveshaft clearance.

New uca's arent required on a db kit. I added them on mine only because if I wanted to lift it higher down the road.

I went with expos in the rear and loved them. Expos are a good alternative to the dakars if you decide to change your leaf pack.

Also if you are getting charged 1760 for install that is way too much. If you can do it your self do it.

Pic attached showing cut crossmember and new ones attached to lower the your components.

As far as the wheels blacktacoma23 and radtaco914 are both running 17's.

The BDS kit is a retarded expensive spacer lift, you get shitty shocks and a block for the rear.

Buy the OME lift you will be much happier.

no winch or armour, I'll need to run 885 coils due to D-cab. The Dakars sound like the way to go think. and thanks I'll look into UCA's. Recommendations?
