Engine shaking badly!

Im in serious need of some help guys! I have a 2006 4.0

My check engine light came on and my truck began to shake violently at 1200 rpm, and at idle it has a hard knock. At higher rpms, there is no shaking present but it refuses to shift if i put it to the floor. It seems very bogged down. This just started the other day when we had snow and the temps were well below zero.

Ill turn my truck off and let it sit for a while then when i turn it back on, the light will be off and there will be no shaking. It happens randomly and i haven't noticed any pattern. I have added sea foam and that hasn't helped.


Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Your help is very appreciated! Thanks guys!

My Check engine light is on and thats all as far as i know.

 

Sounds like you are not firing on one or more of the cylinders. Possibly bad injector.

 

Without you giving us the code(s) that are set, anything anyone answers will be just guessing.

They could be good guesses, but do you really want to buy parts based on that?
