Stereo Swap to Factory Nav Unit results in Air Bag Light. Help!!

Gentlemen and Ladies,

Help Please !!

I just swapped out an Entune Plus unit with a new one that has Navigation.

When I reconnected the battery I have an air bag light on that won't go out

Disconnected and reconnected battery, no luck, suggestions ?

Truck is one month old with 2K miles.

Can I reset it some how?

If I take it in for warranty I will have to switch out Head units back to factory so they don't void my warranty.

This should tell me if the unit is a problem or not.

Did you leave something (around 20lbs or so) on the passenger seat while installing it?

Is it simply a light that says airbag? There is one located above where the indicators are that light when the passenger's airbag is on or off. On my truck the simple word airbag in red is always lit and if someone sits in the passengers seat it has a light that says on that lights up under the word airbag. The owners manual doesn't list any function for the red lit up word airbag...it just exists.

I just noticed that my flashers do not work, I will bet that the plug on the console below the head unit that also has an air bag indicator in it is not plugged in correctly.

I will post an update in the am.

Install Error, my bad, loose plug at Flashers in console, also Pass air bag.

Glad you solved it! I had the same problem about a month ago and as it turns out the airbag system doesn't like it when you don't plug in the clock/hazard unit below the radio back in. Certainly had me scratching my head for a while.

 

Glad you got it fixed and it was a simple issue!
