So I have a small creak coming from where the steering column enters into the firewall. I cannot distinguish an exact location for lubricant (if needed) to put an end to it.

Has anyone had any experience with this? FWIW, it has started since the cold weather set in.

I can try and post up pictures but it has been pretty cold the last few days for me to spend any real time investigating down there.

So I have narrowed it down to deep inside the plastic sleeve surrounding the column as it enters the fire wall. Any suggestions on where to spray some lube in there or what might be causing the creak?

Sub'd, I have the same thing and can't figure out where it is coming from.
