Help, my son did some add on's to our 2000 Tacoma Pre-runner ,4in LED Pods where the stock blinkers were on the bumper and moved the blinkers up into the cornet lights. After a few trial and errors they are in and WERE working but now we have another problem, when we turn the truck to ACC. the power is weak and as soon as it is put into the START position all power is killed, I have checked every fuse possible and no luck.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    JJJ

I would undo whatever you did and give it a try to make sure the problem is not connected and if it is rewire it correctly and/or check your battery make sure it's not dead as well

Pulled the battery and had it tested. Came back BAD. Put a new one in And had same results . Un hooked the new stuff and put it back how it was and still same result. I think something may have got blown when we were doing some trial and error one the new lights but not sure where it would be since all the fuses appear to be good.

How exactly did you guys wire it in what are they wired to a switch or what? What was your trial and error you were doing to test it?

We have the lights ran to a rocker switch in the cab. Pulled acc. Power from the fuse box and main power from the battery. When we were running tests on them the jumper wire on the back of the switch was backwords and the lights flickered then went too, we reversed them and it tested fine. Put everything together and now ran into this problem. We un hooked the power from the lights and out everything baco to how it was but still same problem so I am guessing that we blew something somewhere . I am being told to check the ignition switch.

I doubt it's the ignition switch but could be, Did you check the connection on the battery and make sure your cables are tight and that you didn't lose any wires when you connected your 12v for the switch at the battery
