Does anyone have any tips on locating a new or used differential for my 2006 TRD Off Road Double Cab? The dealer is trying to charge me $2200!

    Thanks!

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
    Rockauto.com maybe?
    Rebuild kits $200-300.
    Full diff ~$600.

What exactly needs to be done and can you do it if you find parts?

i simply don't have the time unfortunately because i'm traveling for work, but I could order a full diff and have somebody other than the dealership install for sure. I'll check out Rock Auto, thanks!

Unfortunately i'm not having any luck finding a new/used differential that works for my truck. It looks like the hang up is that nobody has them right now with the factory locker because I have the TRD Off Road. Rebuild might be more expensive with the labor...

That's a bunch of crap, the e-lockers were available all the way back to the 1996 time frame on 1st gen tacomas and 3rd gen 4runners. Stevie wonder could find a used one in the junk yard.

Nothing locally available! all the junk yards pretty much told me "good luck". I found a few that are further away (South carolina) but need to be shipped and they want $1350 for it with 90k on it. plus shipping.
