That's for corrosion though, not cold weather:

"Remove the clutch release cylinder rubber boot and inspect for corrosion. If corrosion is found, proceed to step 4. If corrosion is not found, this TSB does not apply and continue diagnosis based on the Repair Manual."

My brand new 2014 with 5k mi. does this when it's negative temps out

    Corrosion would cause drag.

    we're aware of that...

however this thread is based on cold temps changing the viscosity of the fluid and causes the slow return

The dealer called today and informed that the parts had arrived. The truck should be all put together sometime next Monday. I'll see if the problem is resolved, and I'll try and post pics of the old parts if they'll give them to me.

They won't give them to you. Warranty parts that were replaced ( as far as I know ) are sent back to Toyota for evaluation.

I have the same problem with mine in negative temperatures, Its only really noticeable when I fully depress the clutch pedal, which I never do while driving so it doesn't effect my gear changes

If possible, let us know what parts were replaced/labor services performed. Will be interesting to see if what they do lines up with the TSB I posted above.

I got the truck back from the dealer today, and compared to when I took it in, the pedal response is completely different. I haven't had it in the cold yet, but I immediately noticed a difference in how quickly the pedal returns even when the truck is hot.

According to the Invoice, the dealer replaced the Master Cylinder Assembly, the Clutch Pedal and Sub Assembly, and the Clutch Reservoir Hose. In the diagnosis of the problem, the technician said "Pedal Inspect found clutch pedal is noisy and rocks side to side. Replaced Pedal and Master Cylinder as per TSB 0186-12.

The TSB cited can be found at this link

    http://www.toyotapart.com/TSB-0186-12-Clutch-Pedal-Squeak-Noise.pdf

It is a different bulletin that the one cited by Lester Lugnut, but solved a similar problem nonetheless.

Yep. The TSB used on your truck contained all of the part(s) in the one listed above and then some. Sounds like they replaced everything related to the clutch top-side.

Now all you need is some 0F weather to verify improvement.

Hope it works out for you.

I have to work my clutch before I take off in the morning when its super cold. Mines brande new with under 5,000 miles. It gets to being normal after a few minutes. Coldest its been here is 14 degrees.
