this problem started 4 years ago and only happens intermittently (8 times)
It only happens when the engine mis fires on initial start up or when it kills because of mis fire. After this it will crank but not start. Battery, starter, fuel pump, igniters are not the issue. The only solution thus far that remidies the problem is push starting it fires right up and will restart without problems for weeks or months until a misfire. Everyone I've talked to including Toyota mechanics are baffled.

Sas swap, dana 44 high pinion front, Corporate 14 bolt locked, disc brake conversion. 8 inch superlift springs on 39.5 iroks, 5:38 front and rear. Hydraulic assist, 3 inch body lift, Yukon axles front/rear, bilstein shocks, CAI, rock ripper header.
It could be an auto reset fuse. It may be that your misfire is causing the fuse to try and reset. If the fuse is going out it may not go back into place to complete the circuit. Then push starting it may be forcing the circuit to reconnect. I've had this happen before on a 4runner I had.
