    Hey guys first post!
So I just got a 2014 Tacoma about 5 months ago and love it!
I just heard today that the 2016 is confirmed for Detroit in January.
Do you think that is gonna kill my resale value or should I be fine any thoughts?

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
No worries on resale value. I could take my first gen double cab in for a trade on a 2015 right now and get just a little over half on trade in value towards a new one. Tacomas hold their value really really well.

"Raptor Style" grill mod, aftermarket wheels, 265/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler Authorities, TRD Shoulder pads on seat belts, no mud flaps, AVS Hoodflector bug shield *removed*, Dee Zee Ultrablack Bull Bar w/ license plate mount, dipped my fuel door for no reason, N-Fab Spare tire mount w/ full size matching spare, dipped eyelids onto my headlights for no reason, dipped my hood for no reason
This. It's a huge plus for Tacomas.

Hope they put a little more effort into the exterior but the interior looks awesome, modern for a change! But that exterior like said above looks like a mini Tundra. Come on Toyota, make the Tacoma look unique like it's always been, don't be lazy and just slap parts together and call it good.

I think it will definitely kill the resale. How much is unknown. First gens have a crazy resale right now since they are the iconic Tacoma. Even then, only certain ones pull the high numbers. The 2nd gens are everywhere, and I think I see more TRDs then non-TRDS. So a 2nd gen TRD with the V6 isn't going to hold its value like a 1st gen TRD V6.

The 2nd gens have a good resale value right now b/c it's the same damn truck for 10 years. So people can justify buying used and saving $3k or so (from sticker), since a new one is exactly the same, and spend that money on goodies. Once the 3rd gen drops, that is going to change. Most people aren't going to pay $3k under the price of new, to get a 10 year old design, when there is a fancier/better Tacoma out there for only a little more.

Welcome. Enjoy your truck and don't worry about it. You bought it to use it, not to sell it, right?

I've owned several Toyota / Lexus vehicles over the years. They are reliable and hold their value well. Don't worry about losing money with a Taco. There will always be a market for good used trucks. The Gen 3 is awesome with many improvements. (Except for the hideous speedo/ tach)
